• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Science, or Economics or equivalent practical experience.
• 9 years of experience in agreement consultation and management or in executive sales at a technology company.
• Experience in contract negotiations for IT sector products and services, contract drafting, C-level stakeholder management, and working directly with customers.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with facilitating and project management of enterprise agreements with customers and cross-functional internal business partners, solving customer concerns with education, deployment of common fallbacks, or bespoke drafting, as appropriate.
• Experience developing complex agreement structures.
• Knowledge of drafting complex agreements on the unique legal requirements of cloud contractual terms and conditions for two or more industries.
• Ability to lead and manage multiple time-sensitive projects.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present investigative findings.

As a Commercial Manager for Google Cloud, as part of the Global Business Practices organization, you will serve as a strategic business partner to Field Sales, managing consultation and accelerating agreement closure timelines while mitigating commercial and contractual risk across all Google Cloud products. You will ensure that customers’ needs are addressed while minimizing Google risk and operational impact, and build and maintain relationships with Sales, internal cross-functional teams, and customer consultants.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Field Sales teams early in the business cycle to drive proposal development and to shape large, strategic, enterprise agreements. Project manage the consultation and execution of agreements and coordinate the preparation of responses to requests for information, proposals, and quotations. Review and prepare agreement redlines, using custom language and fallbacks as appropriate.
• Engage directly with enterprise/select customers to lead commercial and agreement consultations, resolve objections, socialize customer requests with internal stakeholders, and coordinate approvals. Act as an escalation point for resolving in-scope issues within assigned allocation.
• Provide strategic guidance on agreement discussions to all internal and external stakeholders. Serve as a trusted advisor and partner to the internal stakeholder groups including Sales Leadership, Global Business Practices, Legal, Finance, Product Development, etc.
