Head of Govt. Relations

As the Head of Government Relations, you will lead the strategic engagement with state and central government officials, including prospecting, arranging meetings, and delivering impactful presentations. Your role involves cultivating relationships with stakeholders, drafting proposals, and ensuring successful execution of marketing activities, all while driving revenue generation and facilitating timely receivables from government entities.

What You Will Do

• Setting up govt. Meetings at state and central level (prospecting and lead generation)
• In person meeting with stakeholders
• Presentation across different levels of govt.
• Relationship cultivation with multiple stakeholders
• Deciding and executing for marketing for govt. (planning events, attending conferences,etc.)
• Drafting proposals and notes
• Regular in-person and virtual follow ups to take status
• Collaborating with other partners for joint govt. Work
• Revenue generation
• Getting receivables from the govt. – actual money collection

Ideal persona

Qualifications

• Relevant years of experience: > 3 years
• Worked in an organisation which has had receivables from the govt
• Ideally got an financial MoU signed with a state govt. on their own
• 2 Yrs of team management experience

• Very comfortable building relationships with govt., CSR, etc.
• Mission driven- excited about making a difference in the lives of small-farmers
