THE ROLE

The Spot Buy team takes new product ideas from concept to reality with the goal of making them viable revenue generating business offerings. We are looking for a Software Developer who is passionate about building new web and mobile software products using cutting edge open source technologies, especially server-side technologies. You can help build the next generation of the enterprise procurement applications.

The ideal candidate —

• Uses object-oriented design and development skills in addition to analytical skills in order to develop new Ariba products/Features

• Takes ownership of features

• Works on the entire stack UI, middleware and backend.

• Works closely with peers in a world-class product development organization to continually improve the quality and usability of components through an agile development process

ROLE REQUIREMENT

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field

• 7 years of industry experience, preferably in a product company

• Proficient with OO programming and Java/J2EE

• Experience with Java based frameworks Hibernate/Spring

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Apache Mesos, and/or Kubernetes

• Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Independent, highly motivated and energetic

• Good knowledge of data structure and algorithms

• Knowledge of relational database, SQL

• Quick learner with a passion for solving tough problems

• Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills

• Great team player
