GreenLake Senior Engineer

This role has been designated as ‘Office’, which means you will primarily work from an HPE office .

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Designs enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compliers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.

• Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.

• Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs, and creates solutions for issues with code and integration into application architecture.

• Leads a project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem.

• Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.

• Represents the software systems engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects. Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years of experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Experienced in Cloud domain with development experience in Python/GoLang/shell scripts

• Experience in Machine Learning and Data Science tools like Spark, Kafka, Streaming, Data pre-processing toolsets – sql, hive, spark MLLIB

• Expertise in development of micro services and deploying this on Kubernetes environment

• In depth knowledge in Kubernetes, ISTIO service mesh is preferred

• Experience in public cloud services such as AWS, GCP or Azure is desirable

• Skilled in developing micro-services for SaaS offerings Implementing Monitoring, supporting, DevOps

• Understanding and work experience in GitOps, Devops, CD/CD tooling, concepts of package management software, software deployment and life cycle management

• Hands on experience in Docker, Kubernetes- Set up and administration

• Knowledge of Observability stack: Prometheus, Kibana, Grafana etc

• Experience in architecting software deployments, scripting, deployment tools like chef, puppet ansible, orchestration tools like Terraform

• Knowledge of cloud monitoring tools – Logz, ServiceNow, OpsRamp

• Good to have Enterprise Data Center Infrastructure knowledge (Servers, Storage, Networking)

• Should be able to work in a fast-paced, iterative development methodology (Agile-SCRUM).

• Experience or understanding of software systems design tools and languages.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Understanding of design for software systems running on multiple platform types

• Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
