Job Title: Sr. Manager – SAP Materials Management
Purpose of job:
The Sr. Manager – SAP Materials Management is a key role within GIS that works closely with our business stakeholders to gather, analyse and translate requirements within the Business Procurement area. Building a strong relationship as a trusted partner is key and recommending existing solutions or translating requirements into a successful delivery are the primary activities within this role.
Experience areas:
Candidate must have an expert level experience and strong experience in SAP MM including few implementations in relevant areas of MM.
Expertise in SAP MM, Inventory Management, Supplier Relationship Management
Should have intermediate level understanding of Domain experience in the area of Procurement.
Experience in VIM/OCR would be added advantage
Experience in CLM would be added advantage
Knowledge of:
Essential
Exposure to SAP MM (Procure to Pay Process Cycle) implementation or solution support.
Configuration expert in SAP MM application module, Procure-to-Pay processes, Material Master, Purchase Orders, Release Procedure, Outline Agreements , Info Records, confirmations, messages/outputs, Inventory movements, physical inventory, configured products, account determination and integration points with the PS, SD, FI and PP modules.
Sound knowledge of complete lifecycle of solution implementation.
Desirable
SAP certification in one or more of the SAP modules relevant to this role.
Knowledge of P2P Cloud Solutions like SAP Ariba etc.
Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties:

This role assists clients in the selection, implementation, and production support of application packaged solutions. They use in-depth consulting skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into the clients’ business environment in order to achieve client expected business results
Act as the main speaking partner for Business Analyst/s and business organization stakeholders in supporting with competence of the platform functional capabilities to support business process development. Communicate with business to understand requirements and ensure that processes are aligned with the business operating model and validating process integration with other tracks
Experience integrating SAP with non-SAP Systems. Experience working with MM area experience creating AS-IS, To-Be process flows, Gap analysis and preparation of function specifications. Asses risks and challenges
Global functional support of global solution management, template management, governance, and in adherence to global standards. In addition, will influence business process related decisions, offering solution alternatives for optimization, simplification and standardization.
Build experience and competence of the usage of IS platform/application capabilities and features to be able to act as a leading functional expert. Write functional specification in close collaboration with business analyst and/or business organization stakeholders and as required support in gathering and documenting requirements
Act as the “Relationship Manager” for internal customer groups establishing strong working relationship to better serve the customer needs and facilitate collaboration
Stabilize, standardize and implement the operating model.
Experience contributing to project task prioritization, planning, estimating, work assignment, & quality assurance at every stage of a project.
Identify process improvement opportunities within the process, discuss and obtain sign off from the stakeholders and work towards implementing them.
Provide expert advice in the area of P2P to various business partners.
Ability to manage multiple, conflicting, high priority requests.
Identify resources required, assign individual responsibilities and evaluate impact on future resource requirements.
Strong problem solving skills to identify the root cause and implement the fix.
Maintain resource time, assign individual responsibilities as well as manage third party resource vendor relationships.
Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical associates and vice-versa a must.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
