What you will learn and contribute to

The main objective is to work as System engineers that support Nokia 5G and LTE products. The candidate has the responsibility for understanding 3GPP Specification, Nokia product implementation, integrating ,testing and verification of Nokia 5G & 4G RAN & Core with other Devices/Chipsets/Application from Key eco-system partners. As part of these activities the engineer should be able to understand Nokia 5G & 4G RAN & Core implementation and design test plans to verify Nokia 5G RAN & Core functionalities. Ensure good inter-operability with 3 rd party equipment and 5G/4G RAN and Core. Work as an expert in 5G/4G RAN & Core and Lead and execute technical activities and projects in own responsibility area. Writes requirements, specifications, test plans, reports, and other guiding documentation from a technical point of view. May work also outside of own process area on technical issues. Solves complex engineering problems in many technology areas especially 4G and in 5G-4G interworking areas. Coaches other team members in solving complex engineering problems. Undertakes technical training responsibilities

As part of our team, you will:

• Test cases planning including reviews/analysis of feature specifications

• Test specification work including creating/updating/reviewing test documents (i.e. test plans, test cases, test reports, feature specification, instructions, etc)

• Perform inter-operability testing with OEM/Chipset/ Device/ Applicaction vendors and Enterprise & Carrier Customers in Nokia lab and if needed in the customer lab

• Install, commission, and integrate 5G gNB, 4G eNB and Core appliances in test environment

• Testing and reporting for assigned test cases

• Fault investigation/reporting which includes cooperation with other teams

• Analyze logs and troubleshoot problems from the field and customer lab

• Provide remote and/or on-site support to Nokia Test Teams on site and/or in customers lab.

• Lab maintenance which includes evaluating test tools and test equipment needed prior to each release, upgrading NEs, and building/expanding of work stations & 5G gNB/ 4G eNBs / Core as needed

• Familiarization with the tools, processes and methods linked to the job (QXDM, Wireshark (5G and 4G), EMIL, SYSLogs, Sherpa etc)

• Provide training to team members on new features/test equipment as needed

• Consults, supports and guides team members

• Provide technical support/training to other teams as needed

  Your skills and experience

  You have:

• At least 12+ years’ experience in SW/HW integration or system testing mobile device / wireless radio access products 5G/4G

• Knowledge on RF is a plus

• Understand E2E 5G, 4G network implementation

• Ability to understand and evaluate internal/external specifications

• Experience with test analysis, test planning and test case design

• Experience with system testing and troubleshooting

• Experience with test equipment & Tools: signal generators, spectrum analyzers, test mobile, protocol analyzer

  Specific Skills, knowledge and competencies:

• Integration test experience on GSM, WCDMA/TD-SCDMA, LTE, 5G etc. related access network or core network products. Test experiences on LTE/5g is plus.

• Knowledge of 4G/5G wireless system architecture and protocols is a must.

• Automatic test script experience and Auto framework knowledge is a must.

• Knowledge on Linux OS, TCP/IP, SCTP, TIPC, DHCP/NTP and other network protocols is preferred.
