Senior Software Engineer – Test Automation: As an Automation Engineer, work with a wide variety of technologies from Python, Django, front-end UI, for automation application development and testing. This talent will own the design and implementation of tests that will help in end-to-end quality of major deliverables working closely with engineering and product teams to execute them. Job Description: • Expertise in designing and developing Automation Applications using Python, Django and Front-end technologies • Work closely with cross functional teams and get all the details of the workflows defined and build the Automation application and scripts accordingly. • Create and maintain api-specific test plans and automation test scripts. • Proficient in using test automation Framework such as Django, Selenium Web Driver and Appium to develop Automation application and test scripts. • Participate in design and code inspections. • Participate in creating and clarifying requirements, task assignment to the team members • Document automated tests. • Team Supervision, Task Assignment, regular follow up, first level issue debug. · Analyze test logs, Issue tracking, create test reports and coordinate with stakeholders. DESIRED SKILLS and EXPERIENCE · B.Tech/BE in Computer Science or Electronics required. · 3 to 5 years of experience in creating automation application and scripts from scratch. · Strong knowledge of Python, Django Web framework, HTML and Javascript is a must. · Hands on experience in automating web applications. · Experience in automation testing of RESTful API services (newly built or modified) is a Plus. · Prior work experience in Flash Domain is a Plus. · Experience in leading small teams is a plus. · Experience working with Bit Bucket and Source tree tool for repository management. · Experience with both front end and API automation. · Proven experience creating automation frameworks and test suites · Knowledge of industry standard test automation tools (Selenium/Appium) · Proficient in using test management tools like JIRA. · Proficient in QA methodologies, test automation framework, different verification/validation techniques, and test management. · Experience in using git. · Comfortable working on small, cross-functional, fast paced teams Western Digital thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
