We are recruiting to expand our Cricket team, which follows the sun around the globe working on a variety of cricket events. As a Cricket Systems Operator, you will be responsible for delivering our world-renowned ball-tracking, edge-detection, and Match Officials’ communications technologies, as well as providing other officiating and broadcast enhancing technologies on cricket events around the world. This role provides a genuine opportunity to create a direct impact on the biggest occasions and moments in cricket; this could be providing an LBW call during a Test match at Lords; or telling the story of the decisive bowling spell during the Cricket World Cup Final.

Key Responsibilities

Installation and setup of Hawk-Eye technology in the lead-up to matches, and performing pre-match checks (this can involve physically demanding work, such as rigging cameras and running cables);

Liaise with key stakeholders from broadcasters companies, match officials and teams to ensure all contractual obligations are seamlessly delivered;

Monitoring and operating the various Hawk-Eye cricket technologies during every ball of the match;

Providing quick resolutions for any technical issues;

Taking full responsibility for our system on-site and representing our company in the best possible manner;

Research and development into new projects and technologies;

Maintenance of kit and equipment needed to run the system.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Very good analytical and problem-solving skills;

A decent standard of computer literacy and technical skillset;

Ideally with a degree in a science, technology, mathematics or engineering course (STEM) or relevant equivalent experience

Ability to work under extreme pressure to tight deadlines;

An open-minded, flexible approach to work with a real eagerness to travel overseas and domestically;

A keen knowledge of cricket with the ability to analyse the game in front of you;

Common sense and use of initiative, diligence, honesty, attention to detail, excellent communication skills and enthusiasm;

Buy-in to the Hawk-Eye ethic of hard work and going the extra mile to deliver a world-class service to our customers;

A background or knowledge in engineering is beneficial;
