SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is an integration and extension platform that enables customers and partners to connect their landscapes and create application extensions that focus on their business needs. It is also the platform on which SAP itself builds its cloud applications. In the SAP BTP Foundational Plane organizational unit, we are passionate about delivering everything needed to enable building large scale, highly scalable, event based loosely coupled distributed applications and services in the cloud. This includes world-class, independent technical services and runtimes as well as the harmonization of data models, APIs, and events and improving the developer experience in general. In Foundational Plane we set the platform up for success in the cloud.

The Technical Services unit provides the multi-cloud foundation for SAP Cloud Platform and a layer of abstraction for all applications to run on both public clouds [AWS, Azure, GCP, AliCloud] and private cloud. Technical Services around data management, platform services, messaging and eventing etc. form the key portfolio of the unit.

THE ROLE

As a Developer you will be working on building SAP Event Mesh also known as Business Event Bus or One Event Bus, a platform service built around business eventing and messaging, based on event-driven-architecture as a kernel service connecting heterogeneous systems and solutions at a large scale yet loosely coupled distributed system setup, deployed and run on a highly scalable Kubernetes platform underneath.

You will be a member of a cross-functional scrum team and take part in all team activities including researching and prototyping alternative approaches, planning, designing, implementing, testing, deploying and operating cloud native services running on SAP Business Technology Platform.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

A Computer Science degree from a premiere institute with excellent academic records

Demonstrate excellent design, development & delivery skill

Have the required skill and will to collaborate and succeed in a globally distributed team setup

Sound understanding of event driven architecture & development

3 years of relevant experience in building distributed systems and cloud native development
