Your Role and Responsibilities

As an Associate Developer at IBM, you’ll work with clients to co-create solutions to major real-world challenges by using best practice technologies, tools, techniques, and products to translate system requirements into the design and development of customized systems. In your role, you will be responsible for:

Your primary responsibilities include:
Working on the end-to-end feature development and solving challenges faced in the implementation.

Collaborate with key stakeholders, internal and external, to understand the problems, issues with the product and features and solve the issues as per SLAs defined.

Being eager to learn new technologies and implementing the same in feature development.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Candidate should Have exceptional knowledge and experience providing 24×7 DBA support (Rotation basis) as DB2 UDB Admin : L2 and L3 Support

Responsible for production and non-production support of DB2 UDB databases(450+) on Linux / Aix (DB2 Version 11.5)

Candidate should be ready to work in different shifts on rotational basis

Morning, Afternoon, Night shifts Providing technical assistance to the team and resolving the incident tickets.

Handling ITIL Methodologies like Change, Incident, Problem, Service Management using MAXIMO (ITSM tool)

Have experience in DB2 Installation, Version Upgrade, Fix pack update and Migration

Have experience in Backup and Restore. Database recovery with redirect restores.

Have experience in HADR setup with TSA + Virtual IP( HADR + TSA + VIP)

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Candidate Should have z/OS DB2, Omegamon, QMF, SPUFI, IBM Admin tool, Data Modelling

7 to 10 years of Mainframe DBA and DBA2 development

Candidate should have SQL query performance/ tuning, Dealing data types of CLOB/ BLOB/ XML , Large objects/ Auxillar
