Job Description

As a member of Oracle Retail’s R&D team, you will play an integral part in developing our next generation of Cloud native applications to aid our clients in managing and optimizing their supply chains.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Are you a web app developer that enjoys building new applications and core components? Do you live and breathe pure CSS, HTML markup, and vanilla JS? Have you mastered one of the modern-day Web UI Frameworks like Angular, React, or Oracle JET? Then this is the role for you!

We are a Research and Development team within Oracle’s Retail Global Business Unit (RGBU). Our team is developing the next generation of Retail Supply Chain applications in the Cloud.

If you are someone that’s eager for a challenge, excels at UI development, and is excited by the idea of getting in at the beginning stages of building the next generation of Cloud native applications to service our retail clients then join us and never look back!

Who you are

• You have experience developing web applications based on HTML5, CSS3, Javascript (ES5/ES6) and JQuery.

• You are experienced with a modern-day web framework such as Oracle JET (preferred), KnockOut JS, Angular, React, etc.

• You know what the difference is between MVC and MVVM design patterns.

• You write unit test cases for your UI components using jasmine, karma.

• You are familiar with JavaScript tools like npm, yeoman, gulp, grunt, etc.

• You are familiar with JSON, XML, and working with RESTful services.

• You are a self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

• You have a bias for action and an itch to improve existing processes.

• You have good communication and documentation skills.

• You work well in a team environment and have the flexibility to work with remote team members from different time zones.

• You have at least 3-5+ years of relevant web development experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with server-side development and application servers such as WebLogic, Tomcat, etc.

• Experience developing applications with Oracle database

• Experience with Cloud-native development

3-5+ years of software engineering, web development or related experience.

Can be located anywhere in India*
