Wood is currently recruiting for a Construction Manager with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

TECHNICAL DESIGN ABILITY

Under supervision completes technical design work using India Operations and Client design methods, standards and data in line with Project requirements. Provision of support to designers.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

Possesses proficient levels of technical expertise required to do the job, however continuously work towards improving and updating technical abilities. Will personally seek out opportunities to develop technical knowledge base.

CROSS DISCIPLINE PROJECT TEAM INTERACTION

Appreciation of project set up and team structure across disciplines. Under guidance working with other discipline designers.

UNDERSTANDING AND MEETING SCHEDULE AND SCHEDULE DEPENDANCIES

Awareness of personal targets for deliverable production and deliverable schedule.

COMMERCIAL AWARENESS AND CUSTOMER FOCUS

Understands the importance of customers to the organisation listens and responds to customer requests efficiently and takes pride delivering a high quality service.

INTERPRETATION OF ENGINEERING REQUIREMENTS

Under direction develops the engineering requirement.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Develop short software program to initiate improvement in current work

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting the objectives of the Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Quality Policy and Information Security Management Policy by adhering to applicable Procedures and Work Instructions while fulfilling of duties.

• Ensure all work to be carried out with a positive attitude towards safety, both in design and in the office environment.

Duties

• Preparation of Offshore(Structural) Drawings/Models in accordance with India Operations Technical Work Instructions, India Operations standards and Client standards, Plot Plans and latest Vendor Data.

• Coordinates work with other Designers.

• Ensures History files are up to date with respect to the deliverables responsible for.

• Coordinates with other disciplines as and when required.

• Keeps abreast of the project strategy and key drivers.

• Report changes to the Lead Designer/Lead Engineer.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

The following are the minimum qualifications and level of experience required to perform the essential functions of the role.

Qualifications/Training

• Trade Certificate of Industrial Training Institute in Civil Draughtsman/Mechanical Draughtsman (Essential)

• Diploma in Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering (Desirable)

• Exposure to Offshore Structural Detailing (Essential)

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Civil & Structural Engineering Design environment and exposure to Offshore-Structural Detailing

• Experience in FEED or EPC Engineering design in Project Execution (Desirable).
