Theideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, with expertise in MSSQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB and Azure Synapse Analytics. As a DBA, you will play a criticalrole in ensuring the availability, performance, security, and integrity of our databases acrossvarious platforms.Responsibilities: Administer, monitor, and maintain MS SQL Server, MySQL and MongoDB databases to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security. Design, implement, and manage database solutions on Azure Synapse Analytics, including data warehousing, data integration, and analytics. Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness. Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, query optimization, and implementing best practices. Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper database design, schema changes, and data migrations. Work with Development and Analytics teams and help them in writing critical/complex stored procedures, creating views as needed. Monitor and resolve database-related incidents, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions. Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data, following industry standards and compliance regulations. Perform regular database health checks, capacity planning, and proactive maintenance tasks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute database upgrades, patches, and migrations. Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, processes and troubleshooting procedures. Stay current with emerging database technologies and trends, sharing knowledge with the team.Requirements: 10+ years of relevant work experience in Data administration. Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on MongoDB, SQL Server, Azure Synapse Analytics. Strong expertise in MongoDB administration, including installation, configuration, replication, and sharding. Proficiency in SQL Server database administration, performance tuning, and high availability configurations. Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (formerly SQL Data Warehouse) for data warehousing and analytics. Solid understanding of database security, encryption, and access controls. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues effectively. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of cloud concepts, particularly Microsoft Azure, is a plus. Relevant certifications such as MongoDB Certified DBA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator, or similar, are advantageous.If you’re eager to exhibit your expertise, connect with us at careers@virtuestech.com or reach out directly to avinash.m@virtuestech.com.Embark on your journey of innovation and impact with us.Kindly let us know your interest and suitability.
