Responsible for representing the organization in legislative matters with federal, state and local governmental bodies and for the implementation of all phases of regulatory strategy to ensure necessary approvals for company products/services. Lobbies for favorable governmental policies and regulations. Provides policy direction and coordinates efforts of domestic and foreign operations. Develops programs to ensure the organization’s awareness of applicable legislation. Oversees organization’s lobbying activities and of lobbyists engaged by the organization. Establishes and maintains relationships with external partners , regulators and opinion formers. Monitors the industry for anticompetitive behavior and advises on necessary action in the form of formal complaints with the relevant competition authorities.

Qualifications

Must have detailed knowledge of how the Government of India functions and understand its structure and legislative processes at the federal, state and local levels. Understanding of issues affecting multinational businesses in India and policies in the semiconductor technology domain. Person in this role should possess exceptional diplomatic and negotiating skills, strong presentation, writing and communication skills and demonstrated experience in strategy development, implementation and evaluation. Ability to demonstrate business savvy to link government functions to overall company objectives and to generate significant accomplishments with minimal supervision. Should have a working understanding of computing technologies. Positive outgoing attitude and should be able to represent the company at external platforms and at senior ministerial levels. Should be a team player, comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment and have a strong ability to partner and develop professional working relationships internally and externally. Minimum Requirements (Below the team player bullet): ? Bachelor’s degree in international relations, public policy, government relations, political science, law, or related field ? 10+ years related experience in government relations, regulatory affairs, and/or public affairs for a multinational company, NGO or government. Preferred Qualifications under the previous bullet: ? Masters degree with 10+ years related experience in government relations, regulatory affairs, and/or public affairs for a multination company, NGO or government.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
