Siemens Hiring for Compliance Officer (CO) – Siemens Energy (SE) India at Gurgaon, Haryana Full Time

Reporting to the Regional Compliance Officer India, the CO will be responsible for working directly with SE stakeholders within the assigned region (India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives). The incumbent will be a primary compliance resource with responsibilities of adhering and measuring compliance, including the six assigned risk areas of Anti-Corruption, Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Trust, Data Privacy, Export Control and Human Rights. The CO will be responsible for ensuring that the company operates within ethical and legal framework while adhering to the company’s policies and procedures. The CO will be responsible to assist the SE management implement the Global SE strategy in India.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
The focus of the Compliance Officer (CO) will be to act as a business partner and business enabler, while implementing and managing an effective compliance program covering the defined risk areas. The broad areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:

Business Support: Provide advisory and guidance to business stakeholders, employees and other corporate teams relating to compliance topics and emerging risk areas.

Policies and Procedures: Implement Global compliance policies and procedures, tailored to meet local laws and regulations.

Risk Assessments: Conduct periodic and ongoing risk assessments to proactively identify potential areas of non-compliance and work with stakeholders to define and implement mitigation steps.

Training and awareness: Leverage global resources and develop local content to conduct bespoke training and awareness programmes to promote a culture of ethical decision making and compliance.

Support the independent investigation team with ongoing investigations, assist in implementing decisions of the local disciplinary committee, monitor and track implementation of remedial actions arising out of investigations.

Monitoring and reporting: Conduct periodic compliance monitoring and checks for defined risk areas and activities, conduct site reviews, report outcomes to local/global management, define and implement remedial actions. Also create and manage effective action plans in response to audit observations and compliance violations.

What you need to make a difference

Degree or certification in law, finance, risk management, accounting, auditing, business management or related fields. Master’s degree is preferred.

At least 15+ years of experience, preferably in energy industry, high risk countries or risk, compliance, governance roles. Core experience in a compliance role and exposure to large infra projects, public customers, business partners in turnkey, etc will be an added advantage.

Strong knowledge of local and international laws relating compliance, more specifically to the assigned risk areas.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build, influence and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Fluency in English language is mandatory.

Ability to assume responsibility for multiple topics and resolve them effectively.

Highly analytical, innovative approach using tech/data, with strong attention to detail.

Flexibility to travel.
