The Role
You’ll work collaborate closely with the Nissan Business Leadership team and technology leads and development teams. You will be responsible for defining and leading product/features and be accountable for the successful definition, development and implementation of the product.
This includes third party research, positioning new ideas, gathering and interviewing business leaders, users, analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations. You’ll present results to business management and implement recommendations to actionable prioritized product features. You will work closely with the technology team leads to ensure that the development is in-line with the functional requirements.
Responsibilities:
Senior Product Analyst will own, optimize and maintain the product backlog and roadmap. The primary responsibilities include:
Should own product roadmap with excellent requirement analysis and prioritization skills
Willing to take ownership of the product on both strategic and tactical fronts
Responsible for gathering and prioritizing product and business requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with software development and global business teams for delivering product goals
Responsible for planning and execution of product deliverables throughout the Product Lifecycle
Ability to hold functional responsibilities of multiple but related products in parallel
Translate business requirements into development user stories for developers to start building the product
Contribute towards CapEx/ OpEx estimations and resource allocations (Good to have)
Skills and Qualifications:
The candidate should have the following skills sets:
MBA from Tier-1 Institute with 5+ years of work experience, preferably in tech./management consulting or cross functional roles in product/project/program management. Of these, must have product management experience for 4+ years (B2B or B2C). Need to have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Must be able to define high quality product (technical and functional) roadmap based on business strategy and voice of customer. Manage a cross-functional process to translate the desired requirements into a logically sequenced and optimized product roadmap
Define and analyze business value of a product and functional and technical success metrics of a product
Demonstrated aptitude for analytics. Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an internal or external organization
Aptitude to structure ambiguous and big ideas/pain-points into rational solvable product features and lay the plan for execution
Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and across functions
Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English
Willingness to travel globally across geographies of Japan, Europe and the United States
Automobile domain knowledge is an added advantage
Execute projects in Agile methodology and should be hands-on with scrum development process
Hands-on experience with JIRA
