SPM Design: Utilize your expertise in Special Purpose Machinery (SPM) design to develop conceptual and detailed designs for custom-made machines and equipment based on client specifications and project requirements.
Material Handling Equipment: Design and optimize material handling equipment such as conveyors, robotic systems, lifts, cranes, and other automated systems, ensuring maximum efficiency and safety.
Product Development: Drive the product development process by conducting research, creating prototypes, and conducting feasibility studies to evaluate the technical and commercial viability of new designs.
Design Validation: Perform thorough engineering analysis, simulations, and calculations to validate the design’s performance, structural integrity, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, production engineers, and manufacturing teams, to ensure seamless integration of designs into production and manufacturing processes.
Documentation: Create detailed design documentation, including drawings, technical specifications, bill of materials (BOM), and other relevant engineering documents, adhering to company and industry standards.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for design optimization, cost reduction, and process improvement, and propose innovative solutions to enhance product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience as a Design Engineer, preferably with expertise in Special Purpose Machinery (SPM) design and material handling equipment.
Technical Skills: Proficient in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), engineering analysis tools, and simulation software. Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and material selection.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the requirements and standards related to SPM design and material handling equipment in industries such as automotive, manufacturing, logistics, or warehousing.
Problem-solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex engineering problems, propose effective solutions, and implement innovative designs to meet project objectives.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to stakeholders, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and provide clear documentation.
Team Player: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, share knowledge, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to a positive and innovative work culture.
