I’m writing to express my interest in the NHM-advertised “state consultant” position. With a strong background in research, particularly in the field of public health, and extensive experience in project management, I am confident in my ability to contribute effectively to your team.

Currently, I am a senior researcher at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, where I am also pursuing my Ph.D. in the evaluation of heat action policy in Tamil Nadu. This academic pursuit has equipped me with a deep understanding of policy evaluation methodologies and a passion for addressing public health challenges. My involvement in this research has honed my analytical skills and provided me with valuable insights into the complexities of implementing and assessing policy interventions.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I have gained practical experience through my involvement in a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) project. This opportunity allowed me to further develop my research skills and provided me with hands-on experience in conducting research and managing project timelines and resources effectively. I am adept at designing research protocols, collecting and analysing data, and disseminating findings through publications and presentations.

The state consultant role aligns perfectly with my background and career goals. I am particularly drawn to project management, and I am eager to leverage my skills and expertise to contribute to NHM’s mission.
