Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract

Location: Jagannathpur, Jharkhand

Purpose of the Role: As a Manager- Agriculture for Tata Steel Foundation, your primary responsibility will be implementing, monitoring and documentation of Agriculture based livelihood activities in the mentioned location.

Key Deliverables:

• Overall coordination of Agriculture & allied activities in field and timely implementation of the same
• Capacity building of projects staff, community resource person and farmers on agriculture & allied activities
• Regular field visit and interaction with community leaders
• Preparation on Crop Specific PoP and training of farmers on crops & livestock
• Preparation of different activity specific training module and providing quality training on field
• Updating real time data and photographs and preparation of reports
• Tracking farmer’s activity & income and updating it in timely manner
• Liasoning with Government departments for connecting farmers with the Government schemes
• Regular planning and execution of activities with team members

Work experience in years: Minimum 3 years of field experience in Agriculture and Allied-agriculture activities.

Minimum Qualification: B.Sc. in Agriculture or equivalent. Those with Masters Degree in Agriculture or equivalent will be preferred.

• Knowledge of watershed management, local agricultural practices and customs in Jharkhand and neighbouring states
• Strong communication (English & Hindi) and interpersonal skills to build relationships with farmers, government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
