As a senior EHS Manager to be a point of contact for ISC commercial business and facilitate India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh commercial EHS act as a facilitator for commercial EHS projects and activities. Work with regional EHS shared service team to ensure establishment of EHS internal control framework in ISC commercial organization.

Ensure delivery of an efficient and effective EHS service that meet customer needs and meet required standards, support the local awareness and knowledge development in key technical EHS aspects and management systems.

• EHS oversight at new regional hub in Bangalore and ensure EHS requirement being considered at project design, construction and operational stage.

• Establish an implement commercial EHS internal control framework within GCC and ISC commercial organization to ensure compliance with local EHS legislation and GSK global EHSS standards

• Facilitate regular GCC and other commercial LOCs EHS Council meeting joint by relevant functions to discuss EHS concerned areas, to prioritize actions and ensure appropriate resources and actions are in place

• Facilitate EHS risk assessment in GCC and ISC commercial to identify EHS risks in critical areas. Provide expertise on risk mitigation plan development and monitoring actions progress. Ensure robust assessment and control GSK commercial EHSS risks, e.g. life and driver safety, health and resilience.

• Work with global Driver Safety project to support project deployment in ISC countries.

• Build strong relationship and engage/partner with senior commercial leaders, Commercial, Compliance, HR and WREF in ISC to ensure adequate internal control framework had been established to mitigate EHS risks.

• Oversight global EHS data reporting system EHS Central in GCC and ISC commercial organization to ensure data accuracy.

• Work closely with Regional Health and Productivity team and topic specialists and project teams, e.g. Ergonomic, Energy and Resilience to support business needs in commercial businesses in India.

• Work closely with Office Support Function (WREF) and any associated Business Partner organizations to ensure a safe infrastructure is in place within office environment.

• Work highly effectively with other key EHS professionals to deliver an efficient EHS service to GSK staff, and interface effectively with business partners, facilities and project management staff.

• Competent and respected EHS practitioner with a highly successful track record (over a period) in EHS.

• Good consultancy skills required.

• Good influence and engagement skill with senior leaders

• Experience of participation in matrix team projects.

• Business work experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry.

• Good knowledge of the business and respected for pragmatism by customers.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams

• Strong customer focus, experience of working well with customers and ability to convey clear messages.

• Strong written, verbal communication skills and influencing abilities.

• Proven ability to think and act strategically and engage in long term planning.
