Job Description:

• Play integral part of Agile Automation CoE in DevOps ways of working

• Create reusable components/objects which could be shared by processes

• Maintain, fix bugs and develop new pipelines as per the CoE standards

• Participate in troubleshooting of infra landscape like public cloud (Azure), Client Virtualization (PBI)

• Identify and articulate Data Lake challenges and suggest possible solutions

• Manage the issues end to end, by working closely with the developers, vendors and other business teams.

• Ensure Quality, Speed and Ownership while delivering the support and follow the support model

• Ensure more focus on key behaviors on Quality (work, engagement, and communication), Ownership (ensure timeliness and prompt response to issues and activities), and Delivery (agreed timelines and to the satisfaction of stakeholders)

• Implement data ingestion and transformation pipelines on Azure Cloud

• Learn new technologies and apply the knowledge in production systems

• Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues on the enterprise data pipelines and the data lake

• Partner with various teams to define and execute data acquisition, transformation, processing and make data actionable for operational and analytics initiatives

• Business processes: Configure applications for business processes. Work as one team with business support teams and Vendors to ensure seamless delivery and solutions according to support model

• Release Management: Ensure impact analysis is done on the integrating applications and technologies for periodic technical and/or content releases of solution. Ensure proper communications are sent and trainings delivered through the business support teams

• Supportability: ensure changes, configurations and project deliverables/solutions are successfully delivered by following standard guidelines and rules.

Dimensions and Special Challenges

• This role will be part of Azure Data Lake team which will drive the Data Lake implementation and Support

• The Data Lake will be used as shared service globally and will be supporting across Business of Shell.

• Virtual working in a global environment with culturally diverse teams and across many organizational boundaries (within and across IT support and delivery organizations, incl. suppliers)

• Works as one team with business support teams to ensure seamless deployments of changes and maximum added value for the business by proposing continuous improvements in line with the business needs and strategy

Requirements

• 4 to 6 years of experience in IT industry with Degree in Engineering/ Master of computer application or any relevant degree with technical certifications would be an added advantage

• Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python /or Java/or .NET

• Database experience with and managing data across relational SQL

• Experience developing data ingest and transform pipelines/ workflows

• Experience transforming data in various formats, including JSON, XML, CSV, and zipped files

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to work effectively with customers and other team members.

• Excellent Stakeholder and Service Management skills

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and drive suitable solutions

• Strong appetite for learning and train others on Cloud tools and technologies

• Good communication skills and Fluent in English

• Selected candidate should join the project asap (within a month)

Qualifications and Skills

Mandatory

• 4-6 years of experience in technical Skills like Azure Data warehousing (ADW), Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data lake Store (ADLS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server, APIs (or REST APIs)

• Power BI/ Azure Analytics (NICE to have)

• Strong Azure scripting & analytical skills

• Experience developing flexible data ingest and transformation pipelines, to easily accommodate new and existing data sources

• Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and their enabling tools such as DevOps.

• Detailed oriented/self-motivated with the ability to learn and deploy new technology quickly

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and release management tools: release management coordination, managing builds through GitHub, Test, UAT through to production

• Understand how to automate builds for developer environments from development through production within a Continuous Delivery model.

• Must understand the Scrum Agile methodology and have worked on a Scrum team

Good to have exposure on development stack like .Net
