About the Role
Develop bring-up test plans for new boards based on PCB design files.
Perform board bring-up tests, including power/analog/digital, embedded controller, and power electronics circuitries.
Prepare and perform high current (up to hundreds of amps) and/or high voltage (up to 1000 V) development and characterization tests on prototype units
Troubleshoot issues and propose solutions, e.g., malfunction of circuits, switching noise coupling, and component overheating.
Hands-on modification of circuit boards to verify the proposed solution.
Prepare issue tracker and test reports
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
Should have 3+ Years of experience in Hardware Testing with Automotive/EV OEM/Tier1.
Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and testing embedded controller and power electronics boards.
Ability to read and interpret component datasheets, PCB schematics, and layout design.
Hands-on experience with electronics test equipment, e.g., power supply, electronics loads, oscilloscope, current and voltage probes, function generators, impedance analyzer, frequency spectrum analyzer, and grid simulator.
Hands-on experience with board rework and components soldering.
Experience with high voltage testing safety practice
Experience with industry-standard communications interfaces, e.g. JTAG, CAN, and Ethernet
Eager to work in a fast-paced development environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with test automation and GUI development
Experience with PCB design
Experience with EMC testing
