Job Role: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Experience: – 5-8 yrs. of work experience.

Location: – Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Role definition:
Support NPI activities involving electro-mechanical component packaging.

Design of product line variants & modifications of existing designs

Concept Development, Detailed Design, BOM generation, and management

Perform concept/design/manufacturing reviews and participate in testing, safety, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting reviews with customers.

Perform risk assessments of new designs using DFMEA or similar techniques

Tool Skills:
SolidWorks version 2018 & above (mandatory), Solidworks Certification preferred

EPDM 2018 & above preferred

MS Office applications

Technical Skills:

  • Sound knowledge in mechanical engineering design principles

Excellent knowledge in manufacturing processes and design trade-offs to suit mfg.

Extensive knowledge in engineering calculations (GD& T allocation, tolerance stack up, strength calculations, fastener sizing etc.) & material selection

Knowledge of electrical components placement, creepage clearances, bus bar routing, and cable routing is advantageous.

Experience in the design of die-cast and/or sheet metal enclosures is mandatory.

Experience in handling large assemblies using SolidWorks (2018 & above) preferred

Some experience in FEA (structural/ thermal) is advantageous.

Must have taken a couple of products from concept through production rollout

Experience technical problem-solving skills and providing out-of-the-box solutions for complex problems.
