The Building Construction Products team at Caterpillar designs, manufactures, markets and supports Caterpillar’s line of small, versatile construction machines and attachments for the commercial construction, residential construction, specialty trades, landscaping and agriculture industries. Specifically, in Thiruvallur Tamil Nadu, we manufacture Small Wheel Loaders (SWL) and support logistics and finishing for Backhoe Loaders and Compact Wheel Loaders used for a variety of purposes across the industries we serve.
Description:
Executing global quality processes and coordinating / conduct internal quality audits.
Perform short-term Quality activities such as respond to requests for print interpretation, deviation requests, engineering.
Train the team members on inspection methodology and standards work.
changes, inspection methods, etc.
Administering work area metrics and developing SWES & local training documents
Performing quality certification activities
Identifying the quality non-conformance occurrences and track compliance
In addition, the Quality Technician will work with business division teams to assist with quality issues and provide continuous improvement feedback.
Maintain 5S in respective working area & Improvement activity to be done 1 per month.
In case of absenteeism of team member, individual should be able to perform those tasks.
Basic qualification:
Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, Production with at least 3 years of work related experience
B.E/ B.Tech in mechanical Mechanical, Automobile, Production with at least 2 years of work related experience
Thorough knowledge of relevant engineering, manufacturing and / or maintenance standards and practices
Top candidates will also have:
Through knowledge of CAT quality standards with understanding in ISO
Good interpersonal, communications, teamwork and collaboration skills
Ability to work with diverse teams of employees and customers
Personal computer skills and the ability to use standard software tools
Good written and oral communications skills
