Role – Supplier Development Engineer

Experience – 10 years

Location – New Delhi

Qualification – Bachelor’s in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering or Metallurgy

Mandatory Skills -Automotive Industries, 8D, 7QC, PPAP ,APQP , Kaizen , Six sigma

Core Responsibilities:

Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills:

  • 10 years in Supplier development / Supplier Quality activities preferred
  • Strong exposure to Mfg. processes in Machining.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, Six Sigma methodology.
  • Demonstrated success in establishing positive relationships with internal and external team
  • Experienced in Structured Problem Solving (8D), Quality Tools.
  • Exposure with Global team Supplier Development:
  • Support supplier process in development of Bar turned / Forging / Casting of Machined parts.
  • Technical review, Tech feasibility study for new part development.
  • Perform Process, Product & System Audit at Suppliers.
  • Evaluation of new suppliers – conduct audits (QSE, PSO etc.) as required. Develop improvement plans with supplier to address audit observations.
  • Exposure in SD Tools “APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, 8D etc…”

Supplier Quality:

  • Coordinate structured problem-solving activities with the supplier. Ensure that appropriate root because identification and corrective action verification occurs with emphasis on key supplier issues.
  • Act as supplier liaison, administering, developing and coordinating all quality system related activity. Provide regional based support as required.
  • Communicate with the supplier regarding quality issues & Problem solving.
  • Demonstrated pro-active continuous improvement activities. Supplier Project / Program Management:
  • Achieve AOP committed savings targets.
  • Ensure programs are launched FTT & OTT
  • On-going performance programs – ensure project plans are updated on a defined basis and communicated to key stakeholders. Assist in resolution any issues that can impact the project critical path.
  • Lead cross-functional VA / VE meetings with key suppliers. Ensure ideas are captured and appropriate follow-up activities are performed. Core Competencies:

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹100,000.00 – ₹950,000.00 per year
