RASSI is a pioneer initiative in India for conducting Scientific Crash Investigations. On-site investigations leading to collection of crash data, occupant injury analysis and accident reconstructions are the primary objectives. The collated data is useful and is used for improving Road safety in India. The initiative is supported by all major Auto-Manufacturers.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The individual is expected to reconstruct road crashes investigated under the RASSI initiative to extract data related to the sequence of events and vehicle related parameters in the crash. The individual is expected to analyze injuries sustained during a crash by the victims and have an astute and detailed knowledge of road crashes. Basic knowledge of Kinetics, Kinematics and different automobile systems is expected. Working knowledge of the RASSI initiative or DSD PC-Crash software, though not necessary, is preferred.

Duties & tasks:

1. Handling & Managing Branch Operations
2. Handling small teams of professionals in the area of crash investigation
3. Engaging with local authorities (District Collector, Police Authorities, Police Stations, Hospitals etc)
4. Progressing & Monitoring the assigned targets
5. Participate in Crash Investigations with the team. Necessary training will be provided.
6. Ensuring strict compliance to data handling, storage and security policies
7. Ensure all protocols & safety compliances related to on-site crash investigations are met and adhered-to
8. Ensure professional on-site conduct of the team
9. Work on Periodic/Annual reports
10. Any other activity assigned from time to time

Skillset : 1. Ability to understand crash evidence.

2. Problem solving.

3. Good communication (Oral & written) in English.

4. Team player.

5. Willingness to learn and show initiative to improve existing systems.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Educational qualification: B. Tech. or B.E in Mechanical/Automotive/Automobile, B.Sc. in Physics/Forensic Science

Work Experience:

1. 0- 12 months of experience in automobile or related industry.

2. Minimum 1 year experience in Accident Reconstructions or Road Crash Investigations preferred.

Gross annual Salary : As per industry standards
