Senior Domain Test Engineer

You will be working as Senior Domain Test Engineer, reporting to R&D Team Lead for Electrification Business Area for Distribution Solutions Division based in Bangalore. You will be responsible for developing ultra-low end and medium range of protection and control relays, control relay’s protection function algorithms, libraries, innovation and IP creation, development of relay configuration tools, Remote I/O product development and support for substation automation, product integration testing and Pre-DSAC compliance testing.

Your responsibilities

• Experience in working with end user/ customer for various site engineering and commissioning.
• Should be able to prepare and update test cases, Conduct review meetings.
• Knowledge about basic project management practices including tools like Team Foundation Server (TFS), Test Rail.
• Experienced in latest software engineering practices like Agile development.
• Experienced with Metrics and Statistics

Your background

• BE / B. Tech / ME / M. Tech, Electrical or/Electronics and communication / Electronics and Instrumentation.
• Minimum 4 to 8 years of experience in handling products likes Intelligent Electronics Devices/ Protection relays and IoT products.
• Experience on different SCADA System Engineering and Configuration
• Experience on protocols such as IEC61850 (Ed-1 & Ed-2), Process Bus, Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, IEC 103
• Experience on different Network Topology like HSR, PRP, RSTP, Ring, Star
• Knowledge on network analyzer tools such as Wireshark, Ethereal
• Experience on IEC1131, PLC hands on and Configuration
• Knowledge on Serial communication RS232, RS485, USB etc
• Familiarity with functionalities of existing ABB products like 615 series, 630 series, RIO600, Arctic Products, COM600 and ABB tools like PCM600, IET600, MicroSCADA, Control Builder, AC500 Controller
