Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Coding Internship Trainer to lead and facilitate the training of degree students in the field of Medical Coding. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in preparing students for real-world coding scenarios, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for a successful internship in medical coding.

Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Development:
• Develop and update training materials and curriculum based on the latest industry standards and coding guidelines.
• Design and implement hands-on exercises, case studies, and practical assignments to reinforce learning.
• Instruction and Facilitation:
• Deliver engaging and informative training sessions to degree students, covering various aspects of medical coding, including CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Provide clarification and guidance on complex coding scenarios, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of coding principles.
• Practical Skill Development:
• Conduct practical coding exercises to enhance students’ coding accuracy and efficiency.
• Offer real-world coding examples and share personal experiences to illustrate the application of coding principles in clinical settings.
• Documentation and Recordkeeping:
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and performance during the training program.
• Provide timely feedback to students on their coding assignments, highlighting areas for improvement and recognition of strengths.
• Industry Updates and Trends:
• Stay abreast of changes and updates in medical coding regulations, industry trends, and coding best practices.
• Integrate relevant industry updates into the curriculum to ensure students are well-prepared for the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other trainers, educators, and industry professionals to enhance the overall quality of the training program.
• Foster a collaborative learning environment that encourages students to share insights and experiences.
• Internship Preparation:
• Provide guidance on resume building, interview skills, and professionalism to prepare students for successful internship placements.
• Conduct mock interviews and offer constructive feedback to improve students’ readiness for real-world coding environments.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Collect feedback from students and use it to continuously improve the training program.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training methods and make adjustments as necessary.

Job Types: Part-time, Internship, Freelance
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: ?10,000.00 – ?18,000.00 per month
