Project Role :Cloud Operations Engineer
Project Role Description :Deploy, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure environment and/or applications through cross-technology administration (OS, databases, virtual networks), scripting, and monitoring automation execution. Manage incidents with a focus on service restoration. Act as operations support for all compute, network, storage, security, or automation incidents /requests. Manage rollout of patches and release management schedule and implementation.

Key Responsibilities : 1 Work on regular backups and recovery of databases 2 Do regular maintenance on databases eg, Vacuum, Reindexing, Archiving 3 Work on replication/point in time recovery/connection pooling for PostgreSQL database and remediation of database operational problems 4 Perform Query tuning and preventative maintenance 5 Support complex web-based applications 6 Create regular and accurate Management reports

Technical Experience : 1Knowledge of PostgreSQL capacities and monitoring database capacity and usage 2Knowledge of replication/point in time recovery/connection pooling for PostgreSQL 3Knowledge of developing Stored Procedures and Database Triggers, application development, database architecture and design
