Providing effective and efficient support services to the Clinical departments of the hospital

She/He is accountable for responsibilities entrusted by the Superiors and the results of the work
of the subordinate officers and staff of the functions related to HR.
She/He is reportable to Group Chief Executive Officer and presents such matters to the Group
Chief Executive Officer.
Corporate Responsibilities
Draft agenda and record proceedings of HR Committee Establish, implement, monitor and
continual improvement of the HR policies and practices
Review existing HR policies and suggest necessary changes to HR Committee through
Group CEO as and when required.
Payroll management.
Training – need assessment, arranging for appropriate resources, outcome measurement.
Plan, implement, maintain the administrative policies as defined by the HR
Committee/BOD.
Identify statutory and regulatory requirements related to HR and Administration and ensure
that these are met.
Functional Responsibilities
HR administration related:
Plan, implement and maintain the approved HR policies of GNRC Hospitals Ltd and GNRC
Medishops.
Prepare and amend the service rules for the employees of the hospital as per statutory
requirements, H.R. policies of the GNRC Group.
Ensure that service rules are communicated, understood and implemented at all levels within
the GNRC Hospitals Ltd as well as GNRC Medishops.
Ensure that service records of the employees are maintained appropriately.
Carry out manpower planning for non-clinical functions as well clinical functions in
consultation with the Functional Heads and as per the business plan of GNRC Ltd.
Review the responsibility, authority and accountability of the hospital employees and provide
feedback to the Group Chief Executive Officer for necessary amendment as and when need
arises.
Employee training and development – Ensure that training needs are identified, fulfilled and
training provided is effective.
Conduct exit interview of the personnel leaving the hospital and provide feedback to the
Group Chief Executive Officer.
Periodically carry out compensation benchmarking and provide feedback to the Group Chief
Executive Officer for employee compensation review/ retention.
Employee grievance handling – ensure handling of employee grievances as are handled
without delay as per legal provisions and company policy and ensure that employee
grievances are effectively communicated to appropriate authorities and maintain related
records.
Keep track of the H.R related statutory and regulatory requirements and ensure that these are
fulfilled
Leave accounting.
Maintain personal files up to the level of managers and ensure timely updating the same.
Review matters related to increments, promotions, salary revision and other financial matters
related to employees
Review and approval of applications of employees on financial, administrative and personnel
matters as approved by the Board of Directors/HR Committee.
Initiation and execution of disciplinary action against errant employees as per legal
provisions and authority bestowed by the Board of Directors
Liasioning with Government and other public agencies on administrative related matters.
Employee engagement programmes – ensure that exemplary performers amongst the
employees are regularly identified across the hospital and recognitions are provided in the
form of appreciation letters, incentives, rewards etc. as appropriate & implement the annual
Best Worker Award scheme.
Records and documents management – ensure that proper documents and records on matters
related to the responsibilities entrusted and MIS on HR matters.
Staffing, Internal Communication And Manpower Development Related
Plan and organize recruitment of new employees as per manpower planning outcome.
Establish, implement, maintain and continually improve the training policies and practices in
the hospital including orientation to new employees
Employee appraisals – Plan employee motivation schemes and employee appraisal system
and implement the approved motivation schemes and employee appraisal system. Ensure that
performance appraisals/ increments are completed/ released within time.
Communicate the HR policies at all levels within GNRC Group.
Administrative Related
Advise Finance & Accounts Department on increments, promotions, salary revision and
other financial matters related to employees
Initiate Annual Performance Appraisal and Counseling of the employees of the
Administrative functions as per authority bestowed by the Board of Directors
Others
To ensure that staffs are aware of hospital policies/ Codes/ PRE (patient rights and
responsibilities)/ scope of service etc.
To ensure that staffs comply with the procedures, work instructions and standards as per
requirements of NABH, ISO standards and providing suggestions to improve effectiveness
and efficiency of the same.
To perform any other duties assigned by the superiors from time to time.
General
It is the duty of each and every person in the hospital and particularly the ones who are in close
care with patients, to imbibe the infection control policies/ protocols, follow all the rules and
regulations of the hospital as in force from time to time and to be a part of the Rescue Team.
This will definitely make the hospital within and outside healthier and happier place to work.
Specific: Responsible for overall smooth functioning of H.R. department, employee recruitment,
training & development, employee grievance handling, timely completion of performance
appraisals, timely submission of all compensation/ increments/ arrears etc. to the Accounts
department for timely disbursement, proper records and documents management.
