• To maintain the CHP with optimum load and efficiency to achieve generation

targets.

• Ensure availability of all Unloading area equipment’s like Wagon Tippler, Track

Hopper, Conveyors, Fire and dust suppression system during unloading to
reduce demurrage charges and TAT .

• Ensuring 100% Implementation of SOPs & best practices in CHP maintenance.

• Promoting condition monitoring, preventive maintenance practices and

Performance Improvement Projects.

• Planning and implementing of preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Ensuring quality of maintenance work to avoid repetitive failure and minimise
• Equipment breakdown, if any.
• Mapping & Procurement of all spares and services for coal handling plant

equipment including for auto base and maintaining high standard of safety.

• Preparation of budget for all material and services of CHP maintenance.
• Reducing Spares procurement budget by optimum utilisation of spares with

respect to actual consumption.

• Ensuring 100% implementation of 5S and IMS & EnMS policy in Maintenance

work.

• To ensure 100 % compliance of OHS requirements.
• To recognise and eliminate unsafe act and Unsafe Condition.
• To ensure about reporting and compliance of Near miss.
• Inspect 100 % implementation of safety & Housekeeping at working site.
• Adherence to usage of PPE’s as per work requirement for self, sub-ordinates

and Agency employees.

• Responsible for implementation of Chetna and IST in own vertical/Dept.
• Responsible for implementation of JSA based working culture.
• To ensure implementations of CSM objectives.
