Lead and guide a team for safe operation of CHP. Co-ordinate with internal and external agency (Main Plant Opn. and Railway Siding). Round the clock smooth running of the CHP to avoid the rake detention and loss of generation..

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic Roles & Responsibilities

To run and maintain the CHP with optimum load and efficiency to achieve to support generation. Run and maintain all CHP Equipment’s and, fire and dust suppression systems. & man power planning.

Schedule Monitoring of all Chp equipment and Updating of Daily check List.

Schedule Monitoring of Coal Yard- Stock and Reclaiming.

Seasonal plan preparation & Implementation.

Stack yard (FIFO)& all CHP drains management in all seasons

Implement best practises in operation.

Check the defects and follow up work order and pursue permits

Guide sub ordinates and succession planning

Handle different emergencies in a Coal Handling Plant (CHP). Maintain high standards of safety

Ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety guidelines.

Ensuring effective manpower deployment and guidance to team members.

Maintaining of Records.

Operational Responsibilities

Generation loss on account of low bunker level / bunker’s running out of coal

Safety of the people both internal & external and the CHP equipment.

Ensuring proper blending of coal as per plant requirement.

Maintain high standards in CHP Housekeeping and create safe working environment

Minimising APC by optimum utilization of all CHP equipment’s.

Development of subordinates

Maintaining equipment healthiness record

People Management

Conduct fire safety training as a proactive measure to minimize fire accidents

Development of the business associates to work with Safety and efficiency

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:
B.E./ B.Tech – Mechanical / Electrical

Experiences:
Operation of Coal conveyors of capacity more than 1200TPH.

Experience in Operation of typical equipment like Crushers, Stacker Reclaimers, Wagon Trippers, Paddle Feeder, Conveyor System, Coal Yard Management, coal dozing equipment such as dozers etc.

House Keeping Must have experience in Fire systems and dust control systems.
