Job Description

• Experience working in a customer-facing role
• Graduate / Technical Degree in Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or equivalent
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience of Infrastructure (compute, storage, networking), software / application, database and/or data architecture
• Experience with AWS and/or equivalent Cloud technologies
• Experience collaborating effectively with internal or external stakeholder groups to the highest levels within an organization (CxO)
• Experience in a technology domain such as distributed internet-scale web or mobile applications, DevOps, serverless, big data, analytics, machine learning, enterprise workloads (SAP, VMware, Oracle, Microsoft, etc.), high-performance databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), complex networking implementations, highly secured workloads etc.
• AWS certification (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional or Speciality)
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly

This position focuses on changing the pace of innovation by building and/or moving a variety of workloads to AWS. Companies like AirBnB, Lyft, Robin Hood, and Netflix have adopted cloud with great successes that have turned the whole industry upside down. Many have seen this success, and today companies of all sizes want to reproduce this success. However, since such attempts require new skills and experiences accordingly, it is never easy without changes in the inertial work environment and technologies used. AWS customers in India need help envisioning new services and putting these ideas into practice. To support these customers and help them succeed, we are looking for professionals with experience and skills in enterprise workloads.
When you join the Solutions Architect team in AISPL, you will dive deeply into Enterprise Greenfield customer’s business and technology situations and help them identify which of their issues and goals can be best served by adopting AWS cloud. You will also enable the customers to be successful in their cloud adoption by answering their technical questions, removing technical blockers they encounter, delivering hands-on workshops, and providing architectural guidance. At AISPL, Customer Obsession is in our DNA, so in order to be successful in this role, you will need to become a Trusted Advisor to our customers in India and to ensure that they are able to achieve their business objectives with the help of AWS cloud technology. Within first 12 months, you will have an opportunity to work with a variety of customers, conduct enablement training for our customers, internal training, and publish blogs and whitepapers. You will also have an opportunity to influence the direction of our products by providing actionable customer feedback to the service teams.
As a solution architect, you have the opportunity to make an impact from the very beginning of your enterprise customer’s cloud journey. You will meet with many Greenfield customers across various industries such as finance, manufacturing, IT Services, Healthcare etc. and as a trusted advisor, you will provide prescriptive guidance on how to create business value with technology to your customers. To do this you will collaborate with other teams inside AISPL such as account management, professional services, support, product teams and the AWS partner ecosystem. You will work closely with Account Executives to focus on increasing the market penetration of AWS within Enterprise Greenfield accounts in India by showing how AWS can deliver business value through our technology capabilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• As a Solutions Architect, you will work with Greenfield customers in India to build technology strategy, accelerate their projects and recommend best-practice architectures in line with their long-term business outcomes.
• You will build and own the technical relationship with the customer and operate as their trusted advisor with guidance on what services best fit their needs and how to use various features of those services in a way that will enable the customer to meet their needs in the best possible way.
• Share the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap of new features and services for the AWS platform.
• Create and capture best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts).
• Evangelize and educate about AWS technology (e.g. one-to-few and one-to-many workshops, public speaking, online videos or conferences).
• Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organization by hiring, coaching and mentoring.
• Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to your interests and your customer and/or partner’s outcomes.
• Experience designing, building, refactoring or operating complex, large scale and impactful IT projects – either on premises or in the cloud
• Working knowledge of cloud native architectures
• Knowledge in one or more technical areas: DevOps, Big Data, Machine Learning, Serverless Computing, etc.
• Knowledge of one or more of the latest technologies: NoSQL databases, containers, real-time data analysis, etc.
• Knowledge of one or more modern development languages: Ruby, Python, Node.js, etc.
