Job Context

The Diploma Engineer Trainee is an entry-level role in the technical operations of a textile manufacturing unit. DETs are trained to understand machinery operations, process parameters, and quality systems across spinning, weaving and processing depending on placement. The position demands hands-on learning under senior guidance and offers exposure to a fast-paced, quality-driven manufacturing environment where continuous improvement is key.

• Attend classroom and on-the-job training sessions regularly
• Maintain logbooks, learning records, and technical reports
• Shadow experienced engineers and learn machine operations, process flows, and standard practices

Productivity Support

• Assist in shift planning, raw material handling, and machine start-up
• Observe and suggest improvements in cycle times, efficiency, or manpower deployment
• Monitor and report on machine performance and stoppages

Quality Adherence

• Conduct routine quality checks as per instructions
• Identify and segregate defective materials
• Learn root cause analysis techniques under guidance

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Assist in preventive maintenance schedules
• Learn to identify common faults and initiate basic corrective actions
• Collaborate with the maintenance team for breakdown resolution

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all PPE and plant safety rules
