ASSISTANT MANAGER – LEGAL

JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drafting/vetting Agreements, Tenders.
• Drafting court proceedings such as Notice, Reply, Plaint, written statement, affidavits, writ petitions, etc
• Involves Litigation & Non Litigation
• Knowledge in labour laws (Industrial relations)
• Knowledge in Civil, Criminal and commercial law
• Responsible and accountable for overall quality, safety and security of operations.
• You will be responsible and accountable to make necessary operational decisions related to safety and security matters at all times whilst on duty.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• LLB Graduate from recognized university
• A Masters will be an added advantage
• Must be an Advocate of the High Court

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• At least 5 – 6 years of Legal experience gained through a combination of major law firm and in house experience as a legal counsel.
• A solid corporate and commercial background with experience in handling litigation and documentation is required.
• Experience in intellectual property protection and licensing and commercialization agreements.

• Knowledge of all applicable laws including civil, criminal, labor and consumer laws.
• Excellent legal skills with an ability to apply business solutions to legal problems.
