Position Summary:
The Government and Community Relations Officer will perform the coordination of various government and community outreach programs based on the formal government relations plan of Air Products India. In so doing, the job holder will work closely with various membership organizations of the company, NGOs, supporters, trade associations and government offices and facilitate various engagements in line with appropriate company policies and standards.

Experience and knowledge of governmental decision-making processes and public policy issues is essential, as is knowledge of third party/interest groups. The incumbent must possess a superior capacity to convey personal trust, credibility, and integrity as well as be a skilled communicator. This job require the government relations officer to undertake frequent travel.

The successful candidate will have to develop familiarity with subject matters as diverse as energy and environment policies, energy-intensive industries and project permitting. They also track happenings within the government that could affect the company business objectives in India.

What we will be looking for:
Graduation in science/economics/public policy/commerce

Experience 5+ years in Industry associations/ non-government organizations/ Public affairs/ Public relations consultancies related to Petroleum/ Petrochemical/ Coal/ . The last 3 years of experience should be in government relations.

Awareness on how government works, and decisions are made at different levels of governance

Understanding the effect of politics, policy, and regulation on business

Excellent communication skills, fluency in English and Hindi

Prior work experience in multinational organizations will be an added advantage

The ability to understand the full portfolio of the Company’s activities and markets
