Responsibilities
Drive electronics product hardware development cycle – from requirements to prototype and mass production
High-level design and architecture of Base station 4G & 5G Radios, Small cell Radios, mMIMO AAU, mmWave AAU and Antennas
Make architectural and design trade-offs for radio and antenna designs and oversee implementation of the same
Drive system partitioning and functional architecture for hardware products
Work with Chipset providers to understand the latest capabilities in hardware and their reference designs
Drive selection of key components in hardware design of products with partner ecosystem to control costs and performance
Own hardware realization, integration with software and lifecycle of the same
Drive System validation for functionality, reliability and design reviews
Work with hardware and manufacturing partners for NPI, mass manufacturing, testing, quality assurance and regulatory compliance of hardware
Skills and experience
Strong experience in delivering hardware-based products in wireless domain
Strong experience in creating and validating radio conformance test cases (both conducted and radiated) for both 4G and 5G according to 3GPP standards
Strong experience in link budget analysis (for both indoor and outdoor), coverage and capacity analysis
Strong experience in all RF and Microwave components such as Power amplifiers, LNAs, Circulators, Couplers, Filters, Duplexers, Diplexers, RF transceivers, etc
Strong experience in CFR, DPD, etc.
Hands-on experience of designing hardware based products from chipset/component selection to schematic capture, layout, assembly and testing to final delivery into the intended application
Good knowledge on Digital and Analog beamforming for both 4G and 5G radios and antennas
Good knowledge on Antenna design, parameters, calibration, radiation patterns and standards (BASTA and NGMN)
Good knowledge of embedded systems, RTOS processing and in working with various computing architectures
Good understanding of hardware manufacturing, testing, mass production and regulatory certification processes
Experience in driving regulatory and certifications lice CE, UL, FCC, BIS, WPC etc.
A team player in cross functional work environment
Engineering graduate with 10-15 years experience
