Alcon Hiring for Business Analyst at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Full Time

You will join a dynamically developing Data Strategy, Engineering and Innovation team, a part of global Digital, Technology and Data Hub. As a Data Analyst you will be a key team member responsible for gathering business requirements, verifying data availability and preparing data mappings, as well as supporting project teams in testing of analytical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gathering business and functional requirements
• Building and documenting relevant data models and design analytical solutions .
• Conducting analysis and establishing metrics for success.
• Preparation of data mappings and analysis of data availability in various systems (both cloud- and on-premise based).
• Preparation of project documentation.
• Work with b usiness partners and engineering teams on addressing data quality problems in available data sets and addressing process issues causing data quality issues .
• Performing QA activities in analytics solutions.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• 4 + years of experience in business and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases concepts (at least 3 years of professional experience).
• Expertise in gathering business and functional requirements, conducting analysis and establishing metrics for success.
• Ability to articulate business requirements and bridge the gap between development teams and stakeholders.
• Experience in preparation of project documentation.
• Ability to present business and technical issues, ideas, and recommendations in verbal, written, and presentation formats using storytelling and logical arguments.
• Experience with data lakes, preferably based on AWS services.
• Knowledge of ETL (Alteryx, KNIME, AWS Glue) and data visualization (Tableau, Tableau CRM, Amazon QuickSight) tools highly desirable.
• Hands – on experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working in an Agile team.
• Fluent English – we are a global team, so a very good command of English is a must.
• Excellent communication skills.
