Summary

Reporting to the Accounting Manager in California, the position will be responsible for a variety of accounting activities focused on billing, client communications and collections. You will work as part of a growing team at a well-funded growth-stage tech company, will have direct communications with clients, and will have a significant opportunity to advance your career as the company scales.

Responsibilities

• Manage AR and collections by responding to individual customer requests, solving billing problems and complying with client’s individual billing processes
• Contact customers with overdue invoices to expedite collections
• Work internally with account management, sales team and billing team to resolve customer inquiries
• Deal directly with customers AP departments: completing forms, registering with portals, responding to other vendor setup requests
• Answering invoice questions from clients and routing requests internally as needed
• Cross-train and provide back up for order and invoice generation
• Special projects as needed

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills
• AA or BA in accounting or related field (or commensurate experience)
• Fluent in English
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; attention to details and followthrough
• Proficiency MS Office is required
• Experience in using accounting software (Sage Intacct a plus, but not required)
• Hours will be flexible, but some overlap with colleagues in New York and California will be required.
