Purpose of the Job

• He/she performs validation and verification activities on functions and TC&IS sub-system (TCMS SW, S&A, PACIS & SIG) on the project assigned
• He/she executes engineering activities of one of the Train Control and Information Solutions (TC&IS)

Domain: Verification & test.

• He/she develops competencies required for this domain, following the right methodologies and tools.
• He/she ensures the application of the standard processes in his domain.

Position in the Organisation, Organisation Reporting

• Hierarchical – He/she reports to the VTE Domain Leader and Site TC& IS Metier Manager
• Functional – He/she reports as per project engineering management

Responsibilities Accountable for :

• Applying the standard processes and related methodologies and tools in order to ensure his/her Domain efficiency within projects development

• Defining, developing and sharing re-usable xe2x80x9cdesign patternsxe2x80x9d in his/her domain

• Developing continuous improvement initiatives

• Working on the traceability and configuration of tools

• Supporting Tenders on technical and costing issues

• Supporting Projects on technical or process issues

Responsible for :

• Delivery of TC&IS verification & test procedures on the functions and sub-systems in his/her scope

• Delivery of Verification & Tests tools to be used during Validation Campaign

• Setting-up the verification & test environment applying the appropriate configuration

• Performing TC&IS verification and tests on PC, test-benches and trains

• Delivery of TC&IS verification & test reports on the functions and sub-systems in his/her scope

• Delivery of TC&IS coverage matrix on the functions and sub-systems in his/her scope

• Configuration management of Verification & Test deliverables on the functions and sub-systems in his/her scope xc3xa8 100% deliverables properly managed into configuration database

• Management of validation status of change requests (CR) on the functions and sub-systems in his/her scope xc3xa8 all CR status up-to-date in CR database (in line with test procedures and reports)

• Management of CR on the functions and sub-systems in his/her scope xc3xa8 All NOK results in test reports related to a CR

• Executing Project engineering work-packages of his/her Domain

• Contributing to the sub-contracting strategy in liaise with Sourcing

• Proposing investments for HW & SW necessary to ensure the deliveries on projects conducted by the Site.

• Maintaining regularly updated KPIs related to his/her Domain

• Keeping be informed of the QCD of Projects in order to propose improvements, if necessary. Initiating and following up action plans to solve issues common across projects and/or improve results in projects

• Sharing the Return on Experience of his/her activities with Central TC&IS

• Proposing improvements on his/her Domain process and tools defined by Central TC&IS

Job Specifications Knowledge & Experience

• Experience in modelling, Verification and Validation automation tools like labview, teststand, RT-RT, Matlab etc.

• Experience in Hardware in loop testing, ATE and testbenches development and Experience of hands-on activities of his/her Domain activities on multiple projects (at least 2 years in Railways or Automotive domain) like :

• Verification & test : test specification, hardware-software integration

• Familiarity with Domain modelling tools and Product Life Cycle management tools

• Fluent in English

• Train system knowledge (system analysis, railways) (at least 2 years),

Team size

• Become part of Verification & Validation team of size 65

Innovation On a yearly basis :

• Make proposals of R&D topics leading to improvements of performance of Engineering in term of Quality or Productivity

• Identify necessary investment (CAPEX)

All along the year :

• Follow market innovations in his/her domain, develop and derive product R&D topics if useful
