OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: As a V&V Designer, you will own and test software modules by ensuring detailed test description creation,test setup creation and test execution of those modules. You will interface with Software Architect, Software designers and V&V designers and support program towards QCD commitments.
RESPONSIBILITIES: As a V&V designer, he/she needs to perform the following:

• Test and prove the SW modules performs required functions using both Blackbox and Whitebox methodologies
• SW module Integration, functional and Non-Functional testing, Performance test, confidence test, regression testing
• Test System deployment
• Applies SW processes & standards required for SW testing – Modal, CMMI
• Contribute to the elaboration of SW specification & architecture, in collaboration with the SW architect for functional related requirements
• Deploy the build.Analyze log/traces.
• Realizes Performance testing of SW modules
• Resolve General and functional testing issues, setup issues.
• Prepares test cases and performs SW V&V deliverables depending on associated Product development organization.
• Puts the files under configuration management
• Keeps a strong link with the SW architect, HW designer and RAMS departments, through the whole SW design cycle
• Maintains the traceability from Software requirement to Test cases and defects.
• Highlight design issues impacting performance and propose / discuss with the lead engineer to identify and implement the definitive solution.
• Create defects in tool with required logs, steps to reproduce and required details.
• Guide the newcomers during development to achieve the QCD
• Support Lead engineer to perform peer reviews,test document review

Qualifications & Skills: EDUCATION Bachelor/Post Graduate in Engineering – IT, CS, ECE & EEE or Equivalent

• Outstanding Technical leader with proven track record in managing multi software programs towards successful delivery.
• Be Innovative and demonstrate to peers and implement in creation of Reference Libraries, reusable codes, and model-based developments
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and able to guide, influence and convince others in a matrix organization.
• Be individual contributor, Ability to work independently and take decisions.
• Team Player with prior experience in working with European customer is not mandatory but preferable.
• Should be able to identify delivery and quality risk, highlight the risk on time and come up with mitigation plan

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

• 7+ years of experience in Software Product Functional and Non-Functional Testing (Performance, Load testing etc) using both Black Box and White Box approaches
• Good knowledge of SQL server and querying
• Very good understanding of the complete V&V process
• Good understanding of different software methodologies like waterfall, Agile etc.
• Fair idea of automation testing with knowledge of any scripting language like python.
• Good knowledge of C#, WPF.
• Exposure to WCF, MDM, OPC-UA is desirable
• Very good experience in product testing and software integration testing.
• Very good experience in external interface and simulator testing.
• Has been part of deployment and system installation across releases
• Experience in test management tools like Azure devops or Jira.
• Experience in Creation of Release Notes, Test plan, Test description, Test report
