Purpose of the Job/Objective

• Development and update of Projects schedule
• Schedule performance analysis

Performance Measurement &  Responsibilities

•  Responsible for Planning management of the site
• Develop and maintain planning control structures in alignment with approved project Work Breakdown structure ( WBS )
• Ensures planning is sound and validated by all , main milestones identified and risks linked to the planning are mastered
• Develops projects schedule taking into account engineering , procurement , production and commissioning schedules
• Updates project schedule and alerts on deviations in comparison with original plan
• Generate and maintain multi-level programme plans and schedules using Primavera and Microsoft Project toolsets
• Liaise with engineering, procurement and construction functions, and others as required, including third parties, to maintain awareness of project activities, their status, and their impact on the project schedule and manpower requirements
• Preparation, maintenance and assessment of Programme Risk & Opportunity Register, identifying schedule / cost impact and mitigation actions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, identify and investigate new tools and methodologies and contribute practical suggestions for better ways of working: ensuring consistency and non-duplication of effort between programmes and engineering
• Support the maintenance and monitoring of Work Packages for spend and forecasts
• Co-ordination of the Project Control activities required to manage deviations/change to the Performance Measurement Baseline
• Co-ordination and production of Monthly Project Reporting Packs
• Produce, maintain and consolidate Resource Load Forecasts: including Programmes
• Participates in project management meetings and provide inputs/recommendations for the timely completion of the project
• Co-ordinate and provide the focus for all risk management activities
• Facilitate risk meetings for the project(s). Co-ordinate, schedule and minute risk reviews
• Facilitate training and development of junior planners

Job Specifications &  Knowledge & Experience :

• Engineering graduate with minimum 15 to 20 yrs of experience in Planning Lead role handling a team of more than 5.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite – especially Project and Excel
• Fluent usage of planning tools and techniques e.g. Primavera P6, SAP
• Demonstrable experience in applying Risk Management techniques
• Proven experience in a programme planning role
• Good inter-personnel, communication, and customer focused skills essential
• Highly organised & structured –  efficiently delivers to agreed timescales with attention to detail
