Job Summary: Altair is looking for a motivated and a results-oriented candidate to join our team as a Specialist of Internal Controls, focusing on administering our SOX compliance program. The Specialist reports to the Senior Specialist of Internal Controls and is responsible for executing the ICFR testing program and assisting with all aspects of our SOX program including scoping, program management, and reporting that drives results, accountability and value for the company. The candidate will have hands-on experience working with management to assess the effectiveness of Internal Control over Financial Reporting, with the goal of achieving high level of operational excellence, minimizing deficiencies and reducing risk for the company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Partner with Internal Controls leadership along with various business owners and finance teams including Accounting, Financial Planning, Operations, and Tax to evaluate current design and operating effectiveness and recommend best in class controls, driving change throughout the processes across our global operations
• Be a highly motivated self-starter that is innovative with a desire to continuously improve processes and the control environment
• Work closely with Internal Controls team (may include co-source partners) to ensure effective and efficient execution of the SOX program
• Work closely with control owners to support the annual SOX cycle of risk assessments, walkthroughs, control refreshes
• Assist in educating the team on proper control execution, audit evidence, stay ahead of trends and ensure teams are operating to the latest standards
• Deliver timely and concise communication
• Be a great partner; establish and maintain excellent relationships within the team, co-sourcing partners and external auditors, as required
• Proactively anticipate changing needs/opportunities in our SOX program

• Ability to collaborate with different individuals across the organization to help achieve objectives
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with emphasis on building strong, longer-term relationships worldwide across varying geographies and functions
• Thrive in a creative, dynamic, fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple projects and resources simultaneously
• Be a highly motivated self-starter that is innovative with a desire to continuously improve processes and the control environment
• Demonstrate strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio
• The ability to quickly develop strong working relationships with internal departments, including IT
• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, information systems, or related field
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience overall in some combination of internal audit, public accounting, risk management, and/or a business operational role such as finance or IT
• Big 4 public accounting experience preferred (2 years+)
• AuditBoard SOX Tool experience a plus
• Exhibit a strong understanding of SOX, COSO, IT audit concepts, and leading business practices
