Job Summary: Looking for a software intern to work with the user interface team developing our Qt-based modelling and data visualization desktop application framework. Our priority is providing robust software that is easy to learn and easy to use and is the gateway to our powerful design-space exploration capabilities. The position involves working on porting the lupdate tool usage to the latest version of Qt. This position gives good exposure to various parts of the Unity framework and Qt usage for translating the UI of desktop applications. What You Will Do:

• Identify the usage of lupdate to pick the strings from the source code that are visible in the UI and make sure the same strings are picked by the new lupdate from the latest Qt version.
• Research and fix assigned bugs
• Collaborate with the team in planning and executing the assigned tasks

What You Will Need:
Basics:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science and/or an Engineering field
• Working knowledge of C++ & Python
• Good teamwork and cooperation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

• Qt knowledge
• ‘make’ system for compiling and running the applications
