As part of the Global Merchant & Network Services group (GMNS), the Network & Acquirer Solutions (NAS) team is at the core of American Express, uniquely positioned to service every business unit and customer across the Enterprise. Each year, we power billions of transactions through our global payments network, serving our Issuing and Acquiring businesses in more than 170 markets worldwide.
About the Role
Reporting to the Vice President, Token Solutions, this role is an exciting opportunity for a talented leader to drive the product envisioning, delivery, testing and release of American Express Token Solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver new capabilities, scale the platforms that support Tokenisation, and achieve regulatory compliance. The Director, Token Product Delivery will lead a team of talented product managers and product owners and collaborate with engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to bring the product vision to life.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Deliver capabilities against Product Roadmaps to drive greater customer value and business outcomes.
Lead and develop a team of product owners fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Responsible for performance evaluations, employee engagement, coaching and people development.
Establish strong relationships across Product and Engineering teams; operate as a unified team, ensuring collaboration and flawless execution.
Create synergies across Network business capabilities to deliver on POA business architecture.
Develop and adapt processes to optimize technology advancements, reduce manual effort through automation, and drive accuracy and efficiency.
Stay informed of regulatory requirements and ensure that our products comply with applicable laws and regulations, while maintaining a pulse on industry trends to shape the direction of product features and capabilities.
Assess and evaluate program changes and modify plans in response, minimizing risk and scope/schedule creep, while ensuring high quality.
Requirements/Qualifications
Relevant experience : 10 years’ experience in global payments, ideally within Product & Platform Management. Solid understanding of digital payment technologies and payment processing.
Results oriented : Proven track record of coordinating between Business, Product, Platform Delivery, and Technology teams to deliver key strategic projects.
Passion for execution : Passion to drive program execution and delivery in a fast-moving and innovative environment.
Problem solving : Ability to gather and synthesize data to drive insights and leverage thought leadership and critical thinking to solve problems.
Project management : Exceptional project management skills with flawless organizational skills and attention to detail.
Highly collaborative : Ability to collaborate with and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver value beyond traditional means.
Effective communicator and influencer : Ability to influence key partners and executive stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, proficient in developing excellent quality presentations and deliverables for an executive audience.
