Function Description Preparation of Bank Holding Company regulatory filings (e.g.FR2052A, 2314/Y-11, FR Y-9LP, TFC3, Call report, etc.) to the United States Federal Reserve Bank of New York (Federal Reserve) and assist in preparation of related reports as required. Role will also include preparation and filing of DOC, SEC & local reporting filings. The incumbent will have the opportunity to gain a rewarding experience in the highly visible and critical area of regulatory reporting for American Express subsidiaries along with exposure to Liquidity Reporting New Rule Implementation Project. These quarterly/monthly filings report certain financial and non financial information in accordance with the applicable Federal Reserve and other authoritative guidance at both the Consolidated American Express Co. and at the subsidiary legal entity levels. This individual will be exposed to American Express systems & processes and will work with several internal & external groups outside of Controllership/Finance (including senior leaders of the Company) during the course of these filings. Responsibilities- This position will be a part of the Financial Reporting Cluster. It will primarily support the External Reporting function and will be part of Regulatory Reporting team. The job would entail the following activities:

• Preparation of the regulatory filings and supporting documentation/tie outs.

• Complete regulatory reporting checklists and the external auditors’ review, where required.

• Work closely with various subject matter experts and External Reporting leaders to receive required deliverables.

• Support team response to inquiries of (i) Federal Reserve related to the regulatory filings; and (ii) other regulatory & reporting related inquiries from internal and external groups

• Assist the manager in the quarterly/monthly planning process.

• Special projects as needed, including enhancing policies and procedures around the regulatory reporting process.

Past Experience

• US GAAP knowledge & experience
• Regulatory/ external reporting experience is preferable
• Exposure Liquidity reporting, NSFR or LCR will be a plus

Academic Background The incumbent should either be Chartered Accountant/an MBA from premier institute with 2-3 years of post-qualification experience or a commerce graduate with 4-5 years of experience in financial accounting & reporting. Experience in US-Regulatory reporting will be preferred. Functional Skills/Capabilities:

• Must have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact independently with senior business partners / customers etc.
• Reporting and analysis experience will be an advantage. Familiarity with US GAAP and financial accounting experience is preferred.
• Self-driven, team player, have analytical skills and inclination for process improvement.
• For an internal candidate, knowledge of company policies, businesses, finance processes and systems is desirable
• Understanding of financial domain and AXP systems

Technical Skills

• Good analytical skills and inclination of process improvement
• Must be proficient in MS Applications such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Knowledge of Platforms

• Oracle, Essbase, RRD architecture
