Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus

• Ensure that Link Group has compliant procedures for charging, collecting and reporting taxes for India
• Maintain the strategy to comply with Link Group’s Tax Risk Management and Governance Policy and other related policies
• Preparing accurate and timely taxation reporting and compliance for review by tax team management.

Operational Management

• Monitor taxation developments to ensure Link Group complies with all legislative requirements
• Prepare tax provision calculation and disclosures for inclusion in Link Group’s interim and annual financial statements and taxes paid report
• Arranging preparation of income tax, Goods and Services Tax and other tax returns as required. Reviewing work completed by tax compliance services team.
• Interpret information received from processing functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll & provide feedback where required
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts tax calculations
• Ensuring transfer pricing obligations are satisfied
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as required by Finance Leadership and key stakeholders, with the Head of Tax or Deputy Head of Tax approval.

People Leadership

• Engage with Finance and business units to identify optimal compliant structures for undertaking operations or transactions (e.g. capital management, compliance with transfer pricing, GST)
• Manage the relationships with external tax advisors ensuring Link Group obtains the necessary tax advice or input to comply with policies
• Train and develop Senior Tax Accountants and Tax Accountants in the tax compliance services team.

Governance & Risk

• Develop or maintain procedures for ensuring compliance with taxation policies
• Key point of contact for all tax authorities in India
• Manage tax authority queries, review and audits, with the Head of Tax
• Proactively manage Link Group’s exposure to tax developments or legislative changes and informing stakeholders accordingly
• Champion process improvement within the financial accounting and transaction processing functions

Experience & Personal Attributes

• Experience of large multi-national organisations, particularly with operations in Australia and United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and Europe
• Ability to operate at a senior leadership level across a global organisation (take responsibility & resolve issues, work autonomously and as part of a team, provide practical solutions)
• Excellent numerate skills and strong written and verbal skills
• Above average PC skills using Word, Excel and other Accounting or Tax software products (e.g. CCH Integrator).
• Flexible and responsive, able to work to tight deadlines

Salary: ₹21,300.00 – ₹29,800.00 per month
