AMP Auto Motive Power Hiring for Software Engineer (Test) at Bengaluru, Karnataka Full Time

As a Software Test Engineer on the Platform Team, you will be responsible for validating and exercising embedded firmware. If you enjoy finding bugs, issues, and/or systems problems then this is the role for you. We are looking for test engineers who are well versed in requirements based testing methodologies who we can add to our team. You will synthesize software requirements and specifications into unit and functional tests using C/C++ unit test frameworks along with ad-hoc or custom test harnesses. Testing at the interface and module stage helps guarantee a high level of code quality before the software is ever executed in vehicle or hardware-in-the-loop test systems.

Responsibilities

Review and synthesize requirements and specifications into test fixtures and modules

Develop systems that can automate test procedures

Create test fixtures that can evaluate embedded systems code in a development machine (i.e. PC) context

Design and develop robust test scripts for battery management and charging controllers

Work with systems engineers (requirements definition) and firmware engineers (requirements implementation) to thoroughly test embedded software

Basic Qualifications

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree

A minimum of 2 years developing tests for embedded systems software

Proficiency in C and Python

Proficiency with common scripting languages and tools

Experience with at least one unit test framework

Working knowledge of git

Experience with Jira and issue tracking systems

Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills

Bonus Points

Experience with CAPL and Vector test tools

Experience and knowledge of batteries, battery test systems and battery management systems

Experience with trace-ability and requirement management tools.
