As a Software Engineer on the Platform Team with a focus on test infrastructure, you will be responsible for designing and building software that runs the systems used to validate both software and hardware systems. Test infrastructure engineers work with systems, hardware, and test engineering teams to develop flexible and reliable software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop systems. The test infrastructure team writes drivers for HIL equipment, interfaces with UUT communications, and provides the frameworks that test and systems engineers use to validate hardware and software.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and support custom test infrastructure with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and ease of use

Deploy and debug interface software for test equipment, including power supplies, thermal control systems, and DAQs

Provide scriptable test frameworks to test and systems engineers for rapid test development

Interface with hardware disparate hardware systems and a variety of custom units under test

Take ownership of HIL systems

Basic Qualifications

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree

A minimum of 2 years developing software

Proficiency in Python

Experience with LabVIEW or similar test-focused software

Proficiency with common scripting languages and tools

Experience with at least one test framework

Working knowledge of git

Experience with Jira and issue tracking systems

Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills

Professional Python development experience

Experience with networking fundamentals

Experience with continuous integration tools

Experience developing domain specific languages for test procedure descriptions

Strong software testing fundamentals

Experience working with mechanical and electrical systems with emphasis on data acquisition systems (DAQ)

Experience with National Instruments and/or industrial controllers
