The Backup Infrastructure Administrator will join a team responsible for the operation and support of the backup infrastructure and will provide daily support of our heterogeneous server environment throughout the world.

The colleague is encouraged to help evaluate and optimize our backup environment to help ensure we are providing an efficient and secure backup solution.

Do you have the ability to facilitate the definition of backup solutions to meet infrastructure requirements? In this role you will help to improve existing backup and restore environments and potentially design new environments. Participate in long term systems and planning capacity, with transformation initiatives about reduced cost. Translate and communicate sophisticated concepts to peers and business partners.

Provide technical leadership and/or management for small and medium-sized projects. Learn technical concepts quickly and apply them effectively in the workplace.

Strong customer focus with a cheerful disposition with outstanding written and verbal communication is valued.

Exhibit decisiveness and judgment even under ambiguous circumstances, in a timely manner.

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent, with degree in Business or Information Technology preferred

We are seeking talent with 8 or more years’ experience working with a variety of technology disciplines!

Experience with configuring, installing, managing, and monitoring backup systems in the public cloud – AWS & Azure.
Experience with backup products: Rubrik, Druva, Avamar, data domain, etc. Rubrik is essential.
Experience leading Backup security, including participation in security-based audits, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Participate in on call rotations and help junior team members understand and implement technical concepts.
Experience and solid grasp of data retention policies as they relate to various compliance and regulatory requirements.
Experience with SAN, NAS, VMware, Unix, Linux, Windows, networking protocols is a plus.
